This dressing is composed of 5 important layers:

1) The Silicone Contact Layer covers the entire patient contact surface. It allows transmission of fluids to the foam, while helping maintain the ideal moist environment for healing. Silicone reduces pain and trauma during dressing application, inspection, and at change time. 2) The perforated Silicone film behind the Silicone Adhesive Contact Layer provides firm support for the adhesive and allows moisture to penetrate. 3) The highly absorbent foam pad rapidly absorbs exudates and holds them until dressing change time. 4) Behind the foam is a Super-Absorbent Fiber (SAF) layer that pulls exudates into the dressing and keeps them from soaking back into the wound site. 5) The outer film, breathable yet waterproof, is a barrier to bacteria and viruses. Vitále Foam Dressings are ideal for draining wounds, reducing the risk of maceration. The 5-layer pad construction keeps new granulation tissue moist, prevents it from drying out, and encourages epilthelialization.

Indications: Vitále Silicone Foam Dressings are for single use only and can be used for the treatment of the following wounds:

• Pressure Ulcers • Skin donor sites • Diabetic Ulcers • Arterial Ulcers • Superficial & Deep Wounds • Second Degree Burns • Venous Ulcers • Moderate to Heavy Exudating Wounds • Plus a Special Sacral Size

Not indicated for dry wound conditions or for 3rd degree burns. Vitále Silicone Foam Dressings are sterilized by exposure to ethylene oxide gas and must not be resterilized.
